2. Information used by the app
Quick messages and favorites
The app stores the preconfigured texts you create, favorite quick messages, selected messaging app, location-sharing preference, and an associated date when applicable.
Selected contacts
IAmOK uses the iOS contact picker. It only receives the name and first phone number of the contact you explicitly select. It does not copy or upload your entire address book.
Location
If you enable location for a message, IAmOK requests access while you use the app and obtains a recent position to add a map link to the text. Coordinates are not saved in the favorite or sent to servers operated by IAmOK.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes purchases through StoreKit. IAmOK checks the product identifier and subscription status to enable IAmOK Plus. We don’t receive or store card numbers or banking information.
Support communications
If you email support, we receive your sending address and anything you choose to include, such as app version, iOS version, language, or a description of the issue.
3. Where information is stored
App data is stored with SwiftData on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud and synchronization is available, Apple may sync it through the private CloudKit database associated with your account. IAmOK does not operate its own server that receives this data.
4. Providers and recipients
- Apple: iCloud/CloudKit for synchronization, StoreKit for purchases, and Messages to prepare messages.
- WhatsApp: if selected, IAmOK opens WhatsApp with the prepared number and text. Further processing is governed by WhatsApp’s terms.
- Recipients: receive the text, sender number, and location that you choose to send.
- Google Maps: when sharing location, the message contains a Google Maps link with coordinates. IAmOK doesn’t automatically open or query Google Maps.
We don’t sell personal data. The app contains no advertising, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking.
5. Retention and deletion
Favorites, texts, and selected contacts remain until you delete them in the app, uninstall the app, or manage its iCloud data. Support emails are retained only as long as needed to answer the request and meet applicable obligations.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information sent to support using the email above. Data in your private iCloud database is controlled through your Apple account and can be managed from the app and iCloud settings.
6. Permissions and controls
You may revoke location access in iOS Settings. You can choose not to share location, not to select contacts, delete favorites, and cancel a subscription through your Apple account’s subscription management.
7. Children
IAmOK is not specifically directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information to profile children. Use must take place with appropriate authorization where required.
8. Security and international transfers
Apple applies its security measures to iCloud, StoreKit, and its services. Support communications may be processed by email providers. International availability of Apple, WhatsApp, or email services may involve transfers governed by their policies and legal safeguards.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if IAmOK features or legal requirements change. We will publish the current version on this page and show its update date.
